Here's why car enthusiasts are so passionate about cars.

I've heard it a million times.

"Why do car enthusiasts ride around in their loud cars?"

"They only do it to look cool."

I think its a very common misconception to think that car enthusiasts spend months building their cars for other people. That having a loud exhaust is an attempt to impress other people. That might be the case for some people, but the general consensus is this; car enthusiasts do it because they love it.

Most people I've met in the community drain their wallets on their cars because despite all of their past hobbies, their passion for cars has always stayed. I could say something cliche like enthusiasts buy impractical cars because they love the thrill of the speed, its very difficult not to. Because its 100% true, its so difficult to put it in a non-generic perspective, but when all you've dreamt about as a kid was being a racecar driver, being around the loud engines and screeching tires, the piercing smell of burnt rubber, you feel right at home behind the wheel.
